The Whereabites origin story

Whereabites was founded in 2026 with the mission to connect local food vans with a wider customer base, accelerating the growth of great food experiences.

It began with a simple thought: why aren't there more food vans available? As it turns out, that assumption was wrong. There are plenty of food vans, but no easy way to find them. Typically, you'd search social media, but this means sifting through various local venues, hoping they've listed the food van. Even then, what if you're in the mood for something different? The search continues.

This is where Whereabites steps in. With Whereabites, food vans can input their exact location, time, and date into the platform, giving them full control over their schedule while making it easier for customers to find them.

Where we are now

Whereabites has officially launched! Food vans can list their locations and menus, customers can follow their favourites for updates on new stops, and venue owners can list their spaces in our growing venue directory for food vans to discover.

We have exciting plans for Whereabites. As the platform grows, we understand that food vans' needs will evolve, and we're committed to adapting to those changes. We're already working on ideas to streamline operations for food vans at large events, like festivals, where we could reduce customer wait times. We're also looking to grow our venue directory further, so there's always somewhere new to trade.
